Butt Whoopin

First off, Happy New Years to all my bloggy peeps! As our eyes look back one last time, then turn to the future, I am wishing you and your family a splendid 2010!!

I was lazy yesterday. I couldn't drag my butt out of bed. There to fore, I was late getting to work, which thusly makes the rest of my day extremely difficult time wise. I got home late, helped Dee Dee cook dinner, and found out that all of my children would be out of the house for the night. Yea, that was a real treat. A bike ride was on my schedule for the day, but I opted to just go to the gym instead. I can always catch up on my bike ride today or tomorrow.

The index card with my tests for my one rep max was on the dresser upstairs. I quickly calculated all of my values and decided that sixty percent of my max would be a good starting point for the anatomical adaption (AA) phase of my strength training. The plan called for 1x(12-15) reps. Some of the exercises were harder at the end than they should have been. I made a note to lighten the load the next time. All in all, the workout went vary well. I added one chin up and some back extensions, cuz I'm just kazy like that...

I woke up this morning, and my arse was sore!! Makes me wonder how I am ever going to get into the saddle this evening for my bike ride. No pain, no gain!

Y'all have a wonderful night out there tonight. Stay safe for me, ya hear?

Wes

Right you are, no pain no gain. A german motto for it is: Nur die Harten, kommen in den Garten. ;-) (Only the hard ones get in the garden.)

I saw a video with Lance Armstrong the other day. He said he spends about 6 hours a day in the saddle. OUCH.

BTW, thanks for your comment. Yeah, the Yaktrax. I've read about them on some blogs and it seems that it would be a good idea to get them. I never ran with weather like this before, but our coach said we run in any weather, so I'll do it. (No, I don't jump from a skyscraper if he says so. ;-)
Since I'll be in the city next week, I'll pay my running store a visit and look for them. Otherwise there is still the internet.

Have a wonderful 2010.
